Alpine Explorers – Zug, Switzerland

Welcome to Alpine Explorers! We’re thrilled to share Switzerland’s incredible landscapes with you. Before booking a tour, please take a moment to read through our Terms and Conditions.

1. Bookings & Payments

Bookings are made via our website and confirmed once full payment is received.

All prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT where applicable.

You’ll receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete.

2. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Here’s how cancellations work:
-
7+ days before the tour: Full refund.
-
2–6 days before the tour: 50% refund.
-
Less than 48 hours before the tour or no-show: No refund.
-
If Alpine Explorers cancels a tour due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered a full refund or an alternative date.

3. Safety & Responsibility

Your safety is our top priority. However, outdoor activities involve risk.

All participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and appropriately dressed for mountain conditions.

Our guides are experienced, and you agree to follow their instructions at all times.

Alpine Explorers is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage unless due to our negligence.

4. Children
-
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Some tours may not be suitable for young children—please check individual tour descriptions or contact us.

5. Insurance

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, health, and accident insurance. We strongly recommend you are covered for outdoor activities in Switzerland.​

Alpine Explorers does not provide personal insurance.
​
6. Changes to Itinerary
-
Mountain conditions can change quickly. We reserve the right to alter routes, start times, or cancel tours if necessary for safety or logistical reasons.

7. Weather
-
We hike and venture out in most conditions (rain, wind, light snow), but in case of severe weather, we may postpone, modify, or cancel a tour.

8. Photos & Media
-
We sometimes take photos during hikes for social media or marketing. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, just let your guide know at the start of the tour.

9. Code of Conduct

Respect for nature, local communities, and fellow hikers is central to our ethos.
-
Anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner may be asked to leave the tour without a refund.
10. Hiking Tour Specific Terms
By joining an Alpine Explorers hiking tour, participants confirm that:

They are physically capable of walking for several miles over uneven terrain, including gravel paths, forest trails and hills.

They have informed the guide in advance of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or injuries.
-
They will bring appropriate clothing and footwear (e.g., weatherproof layers and sturdy shoes/boots with grip).

They accept that weather conditions in the Alps may change rapidly and agree to follow the guide’s instructions at all times for safety.
Alpine Explorers reserves the right to turn away participants on the day if they are not properly equipped or if their health or fitness level poses a risk to themselves or others.
Participation is at your own risk. While we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, Alpine Explorers is not liable for injuries due to falls, terrain, or failure to follow safety instructions.

11. E-Bike Tour Specific Terms
By joining an Alpine Explorers e-bike tour, participants confirm that:

They can ride a bicycle confidently and safely on a variety of terrain, including tarmac roads, gravel tracks, and hills (such as those found on Zugerberg and similar routes).

They will wear a helmet at all times (helmets are provided).

They meet the legal age requirement for riding an e-bike in Switzerland (minimum 14 years old with a moped license, or 16+ without one).

They agree to follow the guide’s instructions and local traffic rules at all times.
Participants ride at their own risk. While we do our best to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Alpine Explorers is not liable for injuries caused by falls, collisions, or failure to follow safety instructions or local laws.

12. Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk
By booking a tour with Alpine Explorers, you (the lead booker) confirm that all participants in your group have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
You understand that outdoor activities such as hiking and e-biking carry inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, changing weather conditions, and uneven terrain. By participating, all guests voluntarily assume personal responsibility for these risks.
Alpine Explorers and its guides will take reasonable precautions for safety but cannot accept liability for any injury, illness, damage, or loss unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Participants confirm they are physically capable, adequately prepared, and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the guide.
