Planning Your Adventure
🥾 What kind of tours do you offer?
Small-group hiking and e-bike tours in and around Zug, Lucerne, Schwyz plus other Alpine gems. These tours are private (per the lead persons booking), relaxed, and full of local stories.
📍 Where do your tours start?
Usually near a train station, eg Zug Train Station, or a scenic meeting point. We’ll send details after booking—no mountain GPS required!
👨👩👧 Are the tours family-friendly?
Absolutely. We have routes for all ages and can adjust things to suit your crew. Just let us know your needs when booking.
On the Trail
🎒 What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, weatherproof layers, a water bottle, and your sense of adventure. We’ll email a checklist too.
🌦 What happens if it rains or snows?
We go out in light rain—adds to the charm! If there’s dangerous weather, we’ll cancel or reschedule and let you know.
🧗♂️ Do I need to be fit?
Some tours are gentle, others are proper hikes. You’ll need to be okay with hills or uneven ground—but most tours can be shortened (or lengthened) during the tour day.
Booking & Cancellations
🧾 How do I book?
Right here on the website. Pick a tour, choose your date, you’ll get a confirmation email on payment, and we'll also personally reach out to you. Or just send us an email with what you wish to do in central Switzerland and we will put together an awesome experience for you and your group: mark@alpineexplorers.com
💳 What’s your cancellation policy?
7+ days before: full refund.
2–6 days: 50%.
Less than 48 hours before meeting time: no refund.
💬 Can I change my booking?
Sure! Give us at least 2 days’ notice and we’ll do our best to help.
Good to Know
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Please arrange your own travel and accident insurance—it’s not included in the tour price.
🚴 Is e-bike hire included?
Yep! Our e-bike tours include a quality bike, helmet, and full support along the way.
📷 Will you take photos of us?
Sometimes! If you’d rather not be photographed, just let your guide know.
